Confidentiality
PG&E’s EAP, administered by Carelon Behavioral Health, upholds strict confidentiality standards. When you participate in any EAP service, involvement is treated confidentially in accordance with all state and federal laws.
Eligibility
Part- and full-time regular, probationary, casual, and intermittent utility and corporation employees; interns; employees on long-term disability, light duty, or workers’ compensation; and the dependents and household members of the aforementioned employees are eligible for EAP.
Call the EAP Hotline 24/7 at 1-888-445-4436 to speak with a licensed professional who can connect you to the right resource.
Eligible employees and their dependents and household members each have access to
eight no-cost EAP sessions
per issue per year with a licensed counselor.
EAP counselors are highly qualified and specialize in areas such as workplace and family issues and can help with:
- Family and relationship problems
- Workplace concerns
- Alcohol and drug issues
- Depression and anxiety
- Stress at home or work
- Referrals to additional services if needed
If you've already met your EAP session limit or you'd like to see a counselor who is not in the EAP network, you can see a mental health care provider through your medical plan (Anthem members; Kaiser members) with a 10% co-insurance and no deductible.
The high demand for, and shortage of, providers has resulted in full practices, many not taking insurance, or some not returning calls at all. Despite these challenges, PG&E is doing more to help you access care. For helpful hints and instructions on finding a counselor, see below.
